## Instructor Qualifications

All 3,000+ Sunsational instructors are vetted aquatics professionals, have current CPR/First Aid certification, cleared national and local criminal background checks, passed a 1-on-1 screening interview, and are covered under company liability insurance. Bilingual instructors available in many areas, including Spanish-speaking swim instructors.

## FAQ

**Do I need my own pool?**
No. Lessons can take place at your backyard pool, apartment complex pool, HOA or community pool, or any pool you have legal access to. In some areas, we can pair you with a swim instructo who can provide private pool access for your lessons. Many families without pools use their friend's or neighborhood community pool.

**How many lessons until my child can swim?**
Most children show significant progress within 6-12 lessons. Children ages 3+ are covered by our Learn to Swim Guarantee — if they can't demonstrate basic water safety skills after 12 lessons, we provide up to 4 additional lessons free.

**Do you teach adults who are afraid of water?**
Yes. We specialize in adult swim lessons for all skill levels, including complete beginners and those with aquaphobia (fear of water). Private one-on-one lessons in a familiar environment help adults overcome anxiety at their own pace. Most adults make significant progress within 6, 1-hour lessons.

**What if it rains or we need to cancel?**
Lessons can be rescheduled due to weather or other conflicts. Contact your instructor or our office to reschedule. We offer flexible rescheduling policies.

**Do you offer lessons year-round?**
Yes. Sunsational operates year-round in all service areas.

**What lesson times are available?**
Lessons are available 7 days a week, from 6am to 8pm. You select your preferred days and times during booking, and we hand-select an instructor who fits your schedule.

**Do you have Spanish-speaking instructors?**
Yes. Bilingual instructors, including Spanish-speaking swim teachers, are available in many metro areas. Note your language preference during registration.

**What ages do you teach?**
We teach all ages: infants (6 months+), toddlers (1-3), children (4-12), teens (13-17), and adults (18+). We also offer specialized instruction for swimmers with special needs.

**Is there a minimum pool size or depth?**
Most residential pools work well for lessons. Your instructor can teach in pools as shallow as 2-3 feet for beginners. Contact us if you have questions about your specific pool.

**How soon can I start lessons?**
Most families are matched with a hand-selected instructor within 1-4 days of registering. Lessons can often begin the same week.
