Our experience with Sunsational has been amazing! Since the very first day i saw how my daughter's swimming skills became better and better after every lesson; i had high expectations because on her previous school i could see how she would usually get told not to do this or that, don't move, don't go there, etc and i could see a very little and slow progress. Lissete Salazar, her coach at Sunsational, was a monumental part on my daughter's swimming journey, her professionalism and care made these classes very enjoyable for my daughter and something to look forward every week. She was very professional and it's for sure that without her my daughter wouldn't have the confidence in the water that she's got now. I definitely recommend this school to anyone that sees a little 'something' on their kids and thinks that they could be/do more in regards their swimming skills.

FAQ

Every student learns at their own pace, but most students master foundational water safety skills within their first package of lessons. Because your instructor is 100% focused on your student (not splitting attention across a group), progress happens faster than in traditional group classes. For young, beginner students, we recommend at least 12, 30-minute private lessons. Many adult beginners see significant progress within just 6, 1-hour lessons. Your instructor will keep you updated on your milestones along the way and let you know what's next.

We don't have one central pool — our instructors come to you! Lessons take place in your backyard pool, a family or friend's pool, or a pool at your community/apartment complex. During registration, you'll let us know where you'd like lessons to happen, and we'll match you with an instructor who will meet you at your location.

No problem. You can host lessons at a neighbor's, friend's, or family member's pool, or at a community, apartment, or clubhouse pool nearby. If you don't have access to any pool for your lessons, select "No" on step 1 of the registration and we'll try to pair you with a nearby swim instructor who can also host your lessons!

All Sunsational instructors are certified in CPR, clear a national and local background check, have prior experience teaching swim and are personally vetted by our recruitment team. We select instructors not just for their swim technique, but for their patience and ability to connect with students of all ages and comfort levels.

Costs vary based on your location, the time your instructor spends at your lesson, and the package you choose. All lessons come in packages of 6, 12 and 18 lessons. The 6-lesson package is our minimum to give your child enough time to build comfort and skills in the water. Many families choose our 12-lesson package, which comes with our Learn to Swim Guarantee for children ages 3-17, or the 18-lesson package, which offers the best savings per lesson. Start a registration to see complete cost breakdown for any package you choose (step 4).

We guarantee that with the help of our experienced instructors, students ages 3 and up will be able to turn around, swim/kick to the pool edge, and grab the wall independently by the end of their guaranteed package. If they can't yet perform this safety sequence, we'll provide up to 4 additional lessons, free, until they can.**

Our swimming lessons are available year-round! You can complete a registration any time using this form or give us a call M-F 830am-5pm PST at 1-888-788-2140 to register over the phone with the help of one of our friendly swim experts.

No bill today. After you submit your registration, our matching team personally reviews your request to hand-select the best-fit instructor based on your student's needs, goals, and your availability. Most matches are made within 2–5 business days. You'll get an email confirmation immediately after you register, and our matching team will stay in touch with you throughout the process.

You're not billed today. You'll be billed 24–48 hours after we've confirmed a swim instructor for your lessons and let you know.

You can cancel your registration or lessons at any time and get a refund for your unused lessons. There's no cancellation fee if you cancel before we've matched you with an instructor. Once we've paired you with a Sunsational instructor, a $50 cancellation fee and a non-refundable $20 registration fee per student may apply. Fees are reviewed case by case, and waived entirely if the cancellation is our fault.

If you're not completely happy with your instructor after the first lesson, you have options: restart your package with a new instructor, or request a refund for your unused lessons — your choice.
