Hello, My name is Brittany Vardiman, and I am excited to offer swim lessons to kids and families in the community! Ive been working in aquatics since I was 16, starting out as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA. Over the years, Ive taught swimmers of all levels, ages 6 months to adult classes as well. At 19, I moved into a leadership role as an Aquatic Supervisor and later became a Certified Instructor Trainer, helping to train new swim instructors. Im currently 25 and still work part-time at the YMCA, but since January 2024, I have been working as a 4th-grade Elementary Teacher. I have worked with you for about 40 years in various settings with the San Bernardino YMCA, San Bernardino School District, San Bernardino Boys and Girls Club, and currently the YMCA of the East Valley. Hello my name is Mike, I've been swimming every year for over 30 years now. In high school and college I was the goalie and team captain. I also received the coaches award (#1 goalie of the year from all the coaches in San Bernardino county). I started swimming extremely young and have always loved the water because my grandparents always had a backyard pool. I had pool parties, took swim lessons, and would just swim for fun whenever I could. I got a job as a lifeguard and then a swim instructor when I was 16 and have done that ever since! I love my work and I love working with kids and ensuring everyone is safe and comfortable in the water.
