My name is Yusuf Eldesoky, and I bring over six years of coaching experience along with fourteen years as a competitive swimmer and water polo player. I competed at the collegiate level and continue my athletic career playing water polo, marking six years as a collegiate athlete while finishing my masters degree. Throughout my career, I have coached swimmers of all ages, from toddlers just learning to float to teenagers training for competition. Many of the athletes I have coached have gone on to compete at NCAA Division I, II, and III levels in both swimming and water polo. What sets me apart as a swim teacher is my attention to detail, passion for connecting with each swimmer, and commitment to making the water an exciting, engaging, and motivating place to learn and succeed. Hi all! My name is Jack, and Im a grad student at NYU, back home in the East Bay for the summer! I have been swimming since I was 8 years old and have competed everywhere from my local summer recreational league all the way up to NCAA collegiate swimming during my undergrad at NYU! I have been coaching since February 2020, having taught all ages between 18 months and 18 years, as well as specializing in areas from learn-to-swim basics, water safety, and advanced stroke refinement for racing. My swim journey began in 2002 at the age of 7. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I started teaching my own children essential water safety skills and swim strokes as a way to stay active. What started as a family activity quickly grew into a deep passion as I watched them develop confidence and master a life-saving skill. With my teachings setting the foundation, my son swam with such enthusiasm and skill in his first swim season that he was named a county qualifier in 2024.
