Hi! My name is Brianna, and Im originally from NY. I have been in Austin since July 2022, pursuing my legal career. I swam on a competitive swim team called the Suffern Sea Lions from age 13 to age 16. I have been a swim instructor since July 2017, teaching for six of those years at a private daycare camp, teaching kids how to swim from ages 2 to 16. I was one of those kids who was afraid of the water and didnt know how to swim until my teenage years, when I fell in love with it. Since then, I have always been the last to get out of the pool. Later in life, I started working as a swim instructor and quickly realized that my past fears gave me a unique opportunity to form a strong bond with kids and adults of all ages struggling with their own fears of the water, just like I was. Im able to empathize and explain things to students in a way that made them truly understand things that they werent previously able to before, since I knew exactly where they were coming from.
