On the island, I participated in and enjoyed activities such as boogie boarding, swimming, surfing, and barbecues with family and friends at the beach. Hello my name is Mike, I've been swimming every year for over 30 years now. In high school and college I was the goalie and team captain. I started swimming extremely young and have always loved the water because my grandparents always had a backyard pool. I had pool parties, took swim lessons, and would just swim for fun whenever I could. I got a job as a lifeguard and then a swim instructor when I was 16 and have done that ever since!
