Hello, my name is Micah Laws, and I have taught swim lessons and water safety since September 2020. I started my aquatic journey as a lifeguard before becoming a pool operator and then a WSI (water safety instructor). I have taught all ages from babies to adults, including parent-child classes, learn-to-swim levels 1-4, and teen-adult classes as well. I started learning how to swim when I was five. Later, I wanted to continue swimming and did it year-round on various local teams. I have been swimming competitively since February 2012 and coaching since February 2019! I specialize in butterfly and backstroke and have even gone to the Junior Olympics in these events. I am getting my teaching degree from Hood College and regularly volunteer with kids, helping out with lots of different things.
