Hello, my name is Alonso Martinez. I have been swimming now since September 2017 for almost 9 years, I played water polo and did competitive swimming as well as doing instructional swimming lessons/lifeguarding for 3+ years, but I was not always good enough to do any of these activities. Learning to swim for me began with some obstacles. I had a scary encounter when learning to swim that almost deterred me from it completely, but stuck with it and am here now. My past encounters have helped build the skill that allowed me to teach for the past 3+ years and has allowed me to understand the fear that someone has when learning aquatic skills. Swimming, can be fun and hopefully I will be able to assist in this new venture.
