Olivia is absolutely wonderful! She has shown our son how to become more confident in the water and has really taken the time to help him learn the techniques of swimming. I also worked at the JCC as the Aquatic supervisor/swim coordinator. While working at the Santa Monica YMCA I was promoted to Aquatic Director. It was during covid and we were the first YMCA to bring back swim lessons. I feel that swimming is an important life skill that everyone should learn. When designing your baby’s swim lesson plan, our instructors consider all aspects of the well-being of your baby, including physical and emotional. Your swim instructor will create a safe environment for your baby to learn water-safety skills that include back floating, roll over breathing, “swim-float-swim”, the monkey crawl, and what to do after a fall into the pool. All of these skills are taught in a way that’s both fun and educational, using games, repetition, and even songs, at a pace that’s healthy for your little one.
