Hello, my name is Payton. I am 24 years old and have grown up competitive swimming since I was 9 years old. I was also a collegiate swimmer in the US. I am originally from South Africa, and after graduating high school and waiting to start college in the US, I had 9 months to do whatever I wanted to do. I spent my time coaching children between the ages of 215 how to become water safe, as well as teaching them all the different strokes and aspects of competitive swimming. I am a Colorado native and spent summers at the neighborhood pool. Through high school and college, I lifeguarded and taught swim lessons at various recreation districts, including Normandy Estates, Bear Creek Swim and Tennis, and the YMCA. Im a proud wife of a retired Air Force officer, a mother of four, and a lifelong water enthusiast. Growing up with a pool in my backyard in SoCal, I became a competitive swimmer and lifeguard on Catalina Island. My passion for water safety led me to become a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, teaching swimmers of all ages. After 11 military moves and homeschooling my children, we settled in Colorado. My oldest son is a national club swimmer, trying to follow his dad with a D1 college swim career.
