I started swimming before I could walk. Growing up at the beach I was in the ocean and bay constantly. I was on the swim team in high school, have done dozens of triathlons, and swam from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco. I am also a certified rescue scuba diver and a surf instructor. I view swimming as a life skill and am excited to teach your child to learn to swim. I have worked with reluctant children who learn to love the water. Hello, Im Shay. I was born and raised right here in San Diego. After spending some time away in college, I knew the place I wanted to be was my home. I love the water! From ages 6 to 14, I was either on a recreational or year-round club swim team. I began teaching swim lessons in between practices during the summers in my early high school years and then picked it back up when I went to college, where I taught at a local swim school for several years.
