Swimming has been at the center of my life since I was four. It shaped my childhood in Jordan and gave me the opportunity to move to the U.S. at 15 alone to pursue my Olympic and academic goals. I went on to represent Jordan at the World Championships, Asian Games, and regional meets, and later competed as a Division I athletetraining with world-class swimmers and holding Jordanian national and collegiate records. Whats always stayed with me is the impact great coaches had on me. Hi! My name is Bre, and Im 22 years old. Ive been in the water for as long as I can remember. I began swim lessons as a toddler and fell in love with swimming. By the age of 7, I was competing on a club team and continued to swim competitively until I was 18. Although I was offered the opportunity to swim in college, I chose to focus on academics at SDSU. I worked as a certified lifeguard and swim instructor at my local pool in Seattle since February 2021, gaining valuable experience in water safety, before I moved to San Diego for college.
