Hello, Im Shay. I was born and raised right here in San Diego. After spending some time away in college, I knew the place I wanted to be was my home. Swimming and being in the water have always been a passion of mine and my family. I took swim lessons as early as one year old and continued them throughout high school. I started with a competitive swim team at six years old, which led me to state CIFs. Simultaneously, I also played water polo from ages 9 to 19, which continued into my college career. Currently, I am working on my elementary education bachelor's degree online, as I have always had a passion for teaching and educating younger generations. I started swimming before I could walk. Growing up at the beach I was in the ocean and bay constantly. I was on the swim team in high school, have done dozens of triathlons, and swam from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco. I am also a certified rescue scuba diver and a surf instructor. I view swimming as a life skill and am excited to teach your child to learn to swim. I have worked with reluctant children who learn to love the water.
