I have been a lifelong ocean swimmer since the age of 4. Shortly after college, I began swimming laps for fitness, and this has been a consistent and important practice for my entire adult life. Along the way, I have worked with young people (player ages 7 to 18) as a baseball coach for 22 years and as a hockey coach for 10. In an effort to formalize the informal swim lessons I have given over the years, I recently completed the Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Program, certifying me to teach all levels from 6 months through adult swim lessons.
