Hi, Im Ava Wilson! I have been swimming for over 20 years and have been teaching swim lessons since February 2021. I started competitive swimming at age 5 and qualified for the Junior Olympics by 11. After transitioning out of competitive swimming at 17, I shifted my focus to teaching and coaching. I spent 2 years as a swim coach with the Barton Creek Barracudas in Austin, TX, working with swimmers ages 416. I then ran my own swim lesson business in Austin for 2 years, teaching clients ages 275. I specialize in everything from building water confidence for beginners to refining technique for more advanced swimmers. In high school, I was a competitive diver and worked as a lifeguard and youth sports coach, spending a majority of my working time teaching swim lessons for kids, babies, and some adults. I am adaptable and able to teach all swim levels.
