I have been immersed in aquatic instruction on and off for over 30 years. I am a YMCA certified SCUBA diver. While in college, I enrolled in Life Guarding and Water Safety instructor courses. While in the US Navy, I was the senior instructor for children`s swimming classes and also worked with adults. I have taught many friends, neighbors and family members children how to swim and for the older children, taught SCUBA skills.

Hi, my name is Marcella and I've been a swim instructor since 1995. I teach all ages but my favorite students are young children because taking them on the journey of reluctance or fear of water to being safe while having fun in the water is very gratifying. While employed at a community foundation for DD adults, my favorite part of the curriculum was "swim day".
