I was born and raised in Somerset, New Jersey, and recently moved to Florida. At the age of 6, I got my start in competitive swimming when my parents signed me up for our summer league swim team. This led to joining my local Y swim team, then high school and college swimming. I have worked with students ages 1 and up, including adults. I use the problem-posing method of teaching, which incorporates questions, verbal instructions, and demonstrations. Ex: If your hips are sinking, what can you do to make them pop up to the surface? Press head & back.

Hello! I have been teaching swim lessons since February 2000. I am a mom to five children, whom I taught to float and roll over as infants starting at four months of age. I managed a swim program in Cincinnati, where we taught infants to 12-year-olds. I love working with babies and young children and enjoy watching them grow in confidence with each new skill they learn. It is very important to know that your child can roll over and float on their own. I would love to help your child with the next steps in making them comfortable and confident in the pool and give parents peace of mind to know their child will know what to do in any situation around water.

Hi! My name is Julian and Ive done about two seasons of swim lessons so far. I did group swim lessons for about a year and then started private lessons as well and did both for another year. I moved from Chicago to Florida a couple months ago and havent been able to teach, but I would love to get started again. As for the actual teaching, I would draw from the curriculum of my old job, but try and see what your child needs specifically and what they are lacking in. Although I will be less available mid August when my school starts, my schedule is very flexible during the summer time. I am very excited to be working with any of you and make your kids better at such a very important skill!

Hey, I'm Abby! I grew up in Tampa Bay and swam competitively (but mostly for fun!) my whole life. I am passionate about my students not only learning water safety, swimming, and stroke development, but also forming a connection to (and hopefully a love of) the water. I want all of my students to leave my lessons with a positive experience with the water. In high school, as a swim team captain, I began loosely "teaching" swimming techniques to new members of the team. I officially began teaching swim lessons in April 2025 at Countryside Country Club. I mostly worked with children ages 3-6 but also worked with beginner adults to triathletes. Outside of teaching lessons, I love swimming open water at our local beaches or laps at North Shore Pool.
