Hello! Im Casey, a multi-season teacher and a long-time swimmer! I have been teaching swim lessons since February 2019 to children ages 6 months to 14 years, ranging from introductory water acclimation and safety to preparing to join competitive swim teams! Im also comfortable with adults of all swim skill levels. I did competitive swim team all four years of high school and masters swim for a couple of seasons in college. I am a mom to two adults, a 25-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son with 22q Deletion Syndrome and ASD. I am also a lifelong swimmer who swam competitively as a child. I have been teaching swim lessons since March 2024, but I have worked with children for most of my adult life. I was a nanny in my early 20s. I have coached youth volleyball since 2003. I taught toddler music lessons a few years ago as well. What I love about teaching swimming, though, is that lightbulb moment when breath, buoyancy, and propulsion all come together and a child realizes they can swim. I also love to challenge older swimmers to push their limits safely to achieve more in the pool, whether it be learning to dive or swim butterfly.
