Hello! I have a bachelors degree in child development and work during the day as a manager for an autism center. I began competitive swimming at age 9 and swam varsity and club through college. I have been teaching various types of lessons to all ages since January 2015. For non-swimmers, my lessons focus on safety first: teaching life-saving skills like floating, turning around after falling in, swimming back to the edge, and climbing out. For swimmers who want to prepare for competition, I teach stroke development for all four competitive strokes. I am also available for adult lessons at any experience level. I like to keep lessons fun! I use a kickboard and encourage you to bring any water-safe toys your kiddo might enjoy!

I was lucky enough to have parents who made swimming a priority. My mom took me to swim lessons at the local YMCA starting when I was 6 months old, and I havent stopped loving the water. I swam on the junior swim team and was a junior lifeguard and swim instructor as a teen at my local pool. As an adult, Ive competed in triathlons in the past, but what I love most is snorkeling, open-water swimming, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding.
