Hi there! My name is Alan, Im 24 years old and currently finishing my Master's at the University of Georgia. I have been teaching swimming lessons since February 2021, and its something I genuinely enjoy. I have worked with kids, teens, and adultssome just starting out, others returning to the water after a long time. What Ive learned is that no two swimmers are the same, and trust goes a long way. I tend to be more reserved than loud, but Im attentive, calm under pressure, and always focused on creating a safe, steady environment. Whether you (or your child) are feeling anxious or just need someone patient and clear, Im here to help build confidence at your own pace. Thanks for taking the time to read! Id be happy to work with you :)

Inspired by her college roommate, Noormin picked up swimming in college and has been an avid swimmer since. She's taught both of her parents how to swim and has taught swim lessons for young kids at Emory. Her favorite part about teaching lessons is seeing faces light up when students are comfortable in the water and starting to enjoy themselves!

I am an adult swimmer who learned to swim later in life. I not only enjoy the sport but also want to ensure swimmers of all ages are comfortable in and around all types of bodies of water. As a "later in life" swimmer, I understand the importance of the skill. I swim regularly and compete in various open-water swim events throughout the summer. My experience with teaching ranges from students 6 months through adults. Each swimmer learns differently, and I know that the fundamentals need to be taught, but how they are taught will vary.
