I used to manage an entire pool facility in Glendale, California. I have a Bachelors degree in Communications, and a Masters degree in International Relations. I then worked privately teaching individuals aging from infancy through adulthood for over 17 years. In addition, I was a pool manager and lifeguard for four years. Since I started with Sunsational I have also received my BSN RN from the University of Miami, and become a proud mother of two children.

I specialize in kids and individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, ADHD, other developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, and spina bifida. My teaching approach is personalized, engaging, and safe, with an emphasis on making skill development enjoyable. I believe that everyone can learn to swim and have fun in the water. I grew up as a triathlete, which involved open water swimming competitions and have been teaching since February 2015 with all ages. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

My name is Andrew! I was a competitive swimmer from ages 8 to 22 for my club team, high school, and as an NCAA swimmer.
I have been a swim instructor since February 2020 and a lifeguard since February 2019, working with ages 3 to 75. I hold certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogen Training.
I enjoy tailoring each lesson to the students personality and needs, whether theyre preparing for a swim team or just learning to float. I take pride in turning nervous beginners into confident swimmers.
Outside of the pool, I work in sales selling safety programs for businesses in the Miami area. I enjoy lifting, running, lap swimming, trying new restaurants, and, of course, traveling.
