I also have seven years of lifeguarding experience beginning when I was 15 to 22. I went to James Madison University and obtained a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I taught 3rd grade for a year in Virginia and decided to move to Hawaii in August 2016.

I began teaching swim and lifeguarding at Carnegie Mellon University, where I earned a BFA in Production Design. My teaching experience continued after college ranging from infants to adults, both privately and in groups. Hi, my name is Hydi and I've been teaching swim lessons for five years with ages newborn to adult. I've also worked with children for ten years as a tutor, babysitter, as well as caretaker. I went to UCSD and earned a bachelor's of science degree in Neuroscience and Physiology in 2020. I am also an EMT and currently COVID-19 vaccinated. I love teaching swimming because it is an important and fun skill to learn!
