I fell in love with the water through synchronized swimming in elementary school and never looked back! Growing up in Northern California, I swam anywhere I couldfrom indoor pools to the chilly American River at Ponderosa Bridge, the Confluence, and Sunrise Bridge. My family loved whitewater rafting, so water safety was always front and center for me from a young age.
I bring that same mindset into every lesson I teach: helping children feel confident, safe, and strong in the water. Ive taught swim lessons year-round at an indoor/outdoor swim school, working with all levels, and I especially love helping beginners gain trust in themselves. My background as a classroom teacher, now specializing in working with students with dyslexia, gives me

Hello! My name is Alexia. I have been teaching swim lessons to all ages since September 2017! I have worked with children since I was about 14! I love teaching swim lessons because I love seeing the progress each child makes. I have been swimming myself for about 9 to 10 years. I have worked lightly with children with special needs. Some include cerebral palsy and autism. Although I am not an expert, I try my best to learn as we go and adapt to the child's needs. Thank you!
