I am a mom to two adults, a 25-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son with 22q Deletion Syndrome and ASD. I am also a lifelong swimmer who swam competitively as a child. I have been teaching swim lessons since March 2024, but I have worked with children for most of my adult life. I was a nanny in my early 20s. I have coached youth volleyball since 2003. I taught toddler music lessons a few years ago as well. What I love about teaching swimming, though, is that lightbulb moment when breath, buoyancy, and propulsion all come together and a child realizes they can swim.
