I fell in love with swimming at a young age and began swimming competitively at just 5 years old, continuing all the way through college. In high school, I discovered my passion for teaching when I started giving swim lessons and found it incredibly rewarding to help swimmers gain confidence in the water. After college, I continued sharing my love of the sport by coaching at my local YMCA, where I spent 7 seasons coaching the swim team and teaching lessons since September 2016. With years of experience teaching swimmers from infants to adults, I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment that helps each student reach their goals. I started competitive swimming when I was 10 years old, and I started teaching swim lessons when I was 15 years old. Crazy to say I have been teaching swimming lessons since February 2015! I was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to swim at Penn State University. From there I launched into my ocean lifeguard career. It has been the best 4 years ever!
