Hi I am Asuka (Aska), a little about me is that I grew up swimming all my life. As I grew up I competitively swam on a rec swim team for 9+ years and on my high school team. I was a junior coach for my rec swim team and taught at Splash Swim School and Little Swimmers. I've taught ages 6 months to 14 years and have experience with special needs. I enjoy teaching because seeing my students becoming more confident in themselves and seeing their proud smiles is the best feeling and reward.

Hi all! My name is Jack, and Im a grad student at NYU, back home in the East Bay for the summer! I have been swimming since I was 8 years old and have competed everywhere from my local summer recreational league all the way up to NCAA collegiate swimming during my undergrad at NYU! I have been coaching since February 2020, having taught all ages between 18 months and 18 years, as well as specializing in areas from learn-to-swim basics, water safety, and advanced stroke refinement for racing. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I started teaching my own two children essential water safety skills and swim strokes as a way to stay active. What started as a family activity quickly grew into a deep passion as I watched them develop confidence and master a life-saving skill. My swim instruction set the foundation, and as a result, my son swam with such enthusiasm and skill in his first swim season that he was named a breaststroke county qualifier in 2024. I quickly and effectively build trust between swimmers and myself, allowing me to create a warm and welcoming environment where swimmers of all ages feel safe, confident, and capable!
