I went to Northern Iowa and earned a degree in recreation therapy in 2000. Hello! My name is Charyl Moran, and I love to swim, but that was not an innate process for me. I almost drowned when I was 5 years old. Thankfully, my older sister heard me struggling and came to my rescue. I am a strong swimmer now, and I 100% believe that anyone can learn to swim no matter what their previous experiences or fears have been. My objective is to give the student their own personal set of skills to overcome fear(s) and feel confident in the water. That is, confidence with safety and respect for water. Hello, my name is India. You can also call me Dina. I have been swimming my whole life and teaching swimming since I was about 14. I am now 39 years old. I have taught lifeguards how to lifeguard. I even did junior Olympic swimming. Outside of swimming, I am a musical artist who indulges my life in the arts, and I just had a little boy. I am so gracious to be a mom today! I started with the Aurora YMCA at age 17 in 1980, taught for a few years in high school and college, then came back to it later when I had small children.
