I started swimming competitively at six years old and have loved being in the water ever since. Teaching kids to swim is one of my greatest passions, and I love helping them build confidence, learn water safety, and reach such an important milestone. Whether your child is just starting or looking to refine their skills, I am here to make lessons fun, safe, and effective!

My name is Carin and I have been teaching and coaching Swim lessons for 25 plus yrs. I am fully certified in CPR/First Aid, Safety training for coaches. I have extensive training and years of experience teaching water safety to babies from 3 months old, as well as refining detailed stroke technique for children and adults of all ages. I love teaching and love when my students learn and accomplish a new skill, whether it is floating independently or getting that legal butterfly just right!

I swam competitively in high school and graduated NC State with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism management. I love working with kids and will tailor lessons to your kids needs. I absolutely love helping others overcome any and all obstacles in the water from babies and basics to high level competitive swimmers. I was a competitive swimmer for 13 years and have extensive experience working as both a lifeguard and swim instructor. Ive taught swim lessons to a wide range of agesfrom infants to seniorsand have helped individuals build water confidence and improve their technique. Im also experienced in leading water fitness and aquatic aerobics classes. My background in competitive swimming and passion for health and wellness allow me to connect with clients and tailor lessons to all skill levels in a safe, encouraging environment. I was a synchronized swimmer as well as synchronized, coach and swim team coach for many years. I believe in a comfortable safe environment. Hi! Swimming has been a huge part of my life as I have been swimming competitively since the age of 5, and I am excited to share this passion! I started my swim teaching career at Little Otter Swim School, teaching ages 3-12, at the age of 15 and have also taught private swim lessons in my neighborhood for children ages 2-10.
